I believe therapy can provide an opportunity to engage with life's challenges and joys in more adaptive, healthy ways. My approach incorporates the therapeutic tools of mindfulness, cognitive behavioral therapy, humor, creative exercises, yoga poses, movement, breathing, and a healthy dose of curiosity. Therapy can offer a way to "get out of your head" and access your emotional life. I work as a facilitator and partner for the healing process, but at the end of the day the real answers always emerge from you.

I am a Certified EMDR Practitioner.  EMDR is a highly effective treatment for trauma, chronic pain, anxiety, anger, phobias, depression, negative core beliefs and low self esteem/confidence. I am also a registered yoga teacher and expressive arts therapist. I completed the Expressive Arts Certificate Program at Appalachian State University in 2011 and lead community expressive arts workshops. Click here for more about EMDR.

I'm passionate about traveling, local food, creative cooking, gardening, photography, yoga, reading, and hiking. Through these experiences, I connect with my creativity and explore my "crossing point." Therapy offers a place for my experiences to intersect those of others as we chart a unique path to integrate, heal, and transform.
